Voices Repository’s Ambitious Plan to Capture the “Soul” of Endangered Languages

We aim to record at least 30 hours of spoken sentences for each language. This is considered a minimum for building AI models that can recognize and reproduce basic speech patterns. But we’re aiming higher—because language is so much more than just a string of words.
